heh, thanks! what I do is I make a copy of the color layer after I've got the base colors down, screen it, then take the "blurry eraser" tool, and edit it under tool options to have a round hard edge. then, I raise the scattering setting to about 50-80, but no higher, and erase wherever I don't want there to be a dapple. I resize the eraser depending on where I'm working. The torso I use a larger eraser, while for the legs, neck and face, I make them smaller and more broken up, if that makes any sense.
