Hm, we know that the natural fade can be difficult, as it tends to look unnatural and doesn't blend naturally into the form and design. Maybe try using the watercolor tool with a higher color concentration(it's pretty low, and you might have to do the main markings with them, and soften them by rubbing it in with the watercolor brush). That, and using the smudge in light taps might make them look more integrated with the colors and blend the markings in more. Experiment!
Still, the green and blue are really good, and we see you changed the shading's color/hue, which we didn't leave clear instructions on, so you've got that covered and we don't have to explain those layers and how they work, which is a plus.
Honestly, looking pretty good! We'd suggest more colors on the main body, or more to the design to showcase your skills more so we can know more about what your skills are, and your design process that will help us know your work better. Regardless, it's always a pleasure~
