- judas grew up believing he had done something wrong simply by being born and owed it to the world to make up for that. he never really made friends, having learned from his mother not to trust anyone and treat everything like it isn't as it appears. he can be rough, abrading, and rather intimidating, with an impeccable poker face and a cynical, dry, sarcastic, sharp wit that can cut deeply. he is afraid of little but letting someone in too deep and them betraying him. he has constructed a shell around himself to keep others out, and no one has gotten through the cracks. in his job judas is brave, logical, and selfless. he won't rush into a situation unless absolutely necessary to save lives, preferring to gather as much information as possible in order to have a clean end to the problem. however, if it is an urgent situation and he had no choice, judas will do whatever it takes to save lives and stop monsters. he doesn't value himself, so sacrifice is just part of the job to him.
history:
- judas was born to a shapeshifter father and a human mother. after he was concieved, his father vanished after his mother found out she was having the child of a monster. she named him judas, after the traitor from the bible. when he was born, there were a few complications. as a result, judas could not change his form. His mother raised him with cold detachment, telling him what he was as soon as he was old enough to comprehend. when he was a mid-teen, judas ran away and went on the search for anyone who knew about shapeshifters, trying to find out more and possibly locate his father. along the way he learned about those who hunted monsters, and he saw the good they dd in the world. an old, tough woman agreed to mentor him for five years. at the end of them, judas was a young adult and a good hunter. he continues to hunt monsters, using his abiity to disguise himself as different things in order to get close to his prey and take them down.
