The little boy had everything he could have hoped for. Toys were everywhere in his giant room. Tons of dinosaur and lion stuffed animals were piled on the young boy's bed. he young boy went over to his favorite set of toys that had a blue egg sack and three colorful eggs. He started playing but was interrupted by a middle-aged woman. "Legend, come down-stairs for dinner," the boy put his favorite toys away and got up running over to her, his eyes sparkling. "Are mommy and daddy home?!" he asked, bouncing. The woman shook her head. "No, I'm afraid they are hard at work again, if they weren't-" "we wouldn't be here," the young boy said cutting her off as his face fell. He had heard this spiel many times before and was quite tired of it. Many of his school mates were envious of his comfortable rich lifestyle and several of them ganged up on him. After coming home all beat up, bloody and blue his parents decided that private education would be the best. So, thus, the tedious days of staying indoors began. Yes, the young boy could have everything he ever hoped for, except for his own parents to be at home. Every few days he would see them while he was working on his studies. But, like smoke, they would be gone. They were hard working doctors, and wouldn't tolerate change or failure in their family.

Perhaps that was the very reason young Legend, rebelled.
The young man shook his head clearing it. His eyes widened as he heard little mewls from one of the eggs. He chuckled and opened the egg up. In the green spotted egg, out popped a small male black colored kitten with vivid green eyes. The kitten stared at the young man before uttering a loud meow, demanding to to be fed. The young man chuckled stroking the kitten who rubbed up against his hand, now purring affectionately. "You were my only friend then," he murmured thinking back to all of the times he was left alone, without love from his parents and without love from any friends to play with.

Legend ran though the garden before hearing a distraught mewl. A tiny black kitten was stuck in a drainage pipe. He rushed over pulling the kitten to safety and walked inside. As the middle-aged woman saw the child come in, cradling the little kitten, she knelt down. "Legend, where did you find this kitten?" Legend looked up at her, "Outside...he's my friend." he said holding the kitten closer to him, protectively. The maid sighed before giving him a gentle smile, "Okay, But it'll be our little secret okay?" she laughed giving him a wink before picking the kitten up. Legend grinned happy that he found a friend. "He's Milo!" Milo opened his mouth letting out a demanding meowl to be fed.
After time, Milo grew into a healthy playful kitten. Legend smiled more often but still felt like there was something missing until one night while he was playing with Milo he caught scent of something delicious and ran down the stairs eager to discover what it was.
Legend made a sudden stop seeing the disaster in the kitchen and the frazzled middle aged woman carrying at least seven things in her arms at once. "Do you need help?" he called out to her running over. The woman shifted the things she carried in her arms. "Yes! Thank you! Can you clean of that mess by the stove please? She laughed embarrassed looking at the mess. Legend quickly went over to wipe down the counter before his curiosity got the better of him seeing an old spice jar. He opened the lid up before accidentally dropping half of the contents into some sauce. Horrified, he ran to the maid and pulled on her arm leading her to the mess. "I'm so sorry!" he wailed. The maid tutted before taking a large wooden spoon before putting the sauce to her lips, her eyes snapped open in surprise taking a second look at the sauce in the pan and then at the young boy. "Legend, You're not going to follow in your parent's footsteps," she said breathing lightly before she beamed at the confused boy. "You're going to be a great chef!"
