I looked up at the demon who stared at me with his blood red eyes, he was definitely no longer a normal horse. He'd killed so many times, tasted the blood of so many others, saw the fear in their eyes as he tore them apart, that he had come to crave it. I knew that this was the fate I would face if I didn't get away from him, but I was sick of running. He'd killed my whole herd when I was just a foal. The images of this beast killing my family in front of me still haunted me dreams. I was alone, my whole life running from him as he hunted me down to kill me. Now I honestly couldn't bring myself to be afraid of this monster, all I wanted was to kill him as he did to my whole herd. I wanted nothing more than to rip him to pieces.
"Hello Daman" I said slowly with a sly smile. "Ah, Angsar you have finally stopped fleeing" Daman said frowning down on me. "You will never defeat me Ansgar, no matter how strong of a warrior you are." Daman said with an deadly smile on his dark face "You are a fool to even think you had a chance!" He leaped toward me with his hook like horn aimed to my heart, I reared up in attempt to dodge his attack but fell backwards onto my back. He saw the opportunity and lunged for my throat. I had to think fast to find a way out of this, what was I to do? Run, no, no way would I run again, I have to face him even if it took my own life, I will avenge the death my loved ones, I will do anything to kill this monster. Though the odds were against me I threw in a few kicks never drawing blood, unlike he who had ripped at my legs with his fangs time and time again. I felt the warm blood trickle from my mouth as I look up to see the dark red sunrise.
I was exhausted, I started seeing dark spots clouding my vision. I knew I was dying, but if I would die this monster will come with me. I took him by surprise leaping up and limping towards the cliffs. "You can't run far Angsar!" He yelled after me already catching up "I will kill you!" He charged towards me and dug his fangs into my rump I screamed out in pain as I backed up towards the cliff face. He was momentarily distracted by my kicking when I shoved him over to it. He lost his balance and slipped over the edge grabbing onto my throat. My world was slowly fading into blackness, and somehow I was happy knowing I would see my Family and that I'd ended the life of this evil creature.
