I went with a red and gold-ish color scheme, as you said you liked those two, and I felt they would go well together. Then I made a mane, which I'm horrible at, but oh well. Not sure how long was too long, so I just winged it .3.' Then I threw on some wings, because you mentioned liking them, and then I looked through your likes for cutie mark ideas. I went with a pencil leaving a trail of fire, because you mentioned writing and elements.
