Horned Long-eared Jerboa

These are horned jerboas, they are long legged, long tail, tuft tailed, long eared, rodents with long whiskers (whiskers not shown to allow you to easily see the face in picture above). They have very small front paws and eat seeds, nuts, grasses, and roots as with most rodents. Their horns are used for self defense. They run and jump on their back legs like tiny kangaroos. here is a picture of a hornless short-eared jerboa: Image (hornless jerboas are real animals, the horned ones are my "new species" idea.)
