Contest entry, I hope it's good enough!

I sort of wrote a small story to go with it-
My legs hurt from walking so much and I gave up trying to return home in the rain. Up ahead a great cave loomed, and cautiously I ventured inside. I sat down on the damp floor near several tree branches and lit them into a fire. I could feel a precence but I didn't look around, I could feel red eyes glaring at me from the shadows. Then, a scream penatrated the air and my blood ran cold. I quickly lay down to sleep but I couldn't, things made noises during the night. Finaly, I quickly left for I did not want to stay in a haunted cave for an entire night, even if it was raining.
