Sir Draquilla/Darquilla

Postby Moo! » Tue Aug 07, 2012 3:53 am

Currently a work in progress, still have a few small items I need to add to him.

All done! When I saw vampires under your likes, I thought of Dracula. I tried to base him moreso off of the original Count Dracula from the book. I was originally going to name him Sir Draquilla, but after a while my brain changed it to Sir Darquilla, so you can choose which name you prefer most. :)

He is a full-grown pony/horse (like Princess Celestia, Shining Armor, ect). His cutiemark is a quill in a pool of blood, and he is a vampire. Unlike some vampires, he can go long periods of time without drinking blood. However, the longer he waits inbetween 'feedings', the older he becomes. Drinking blood renews his youth. His horn is a false horn, as he was a regular Earth pony when he was still alive. The horn was generated by his vampirism and the vampiric magic he obtained with it (conjuring fog and transforming himself into it, communication with bats and rats, ability to climb vertical surfaces - even upside down - with ease). Unlike the jelly-glow usually produced when performing magic, his false horn produces a thick fog instead, and his eyes become completely red. The ends of his mane and tail are unaturally wispy, reminiscent of smoke. Although sunlight weaken his powers, it does not hinder him from walking about in broad daylight. Although Sir Dra/Darquilla has magic power, he prefers to use his power with words. He has been around for several centuries and enjoys writing books and stories about his past explorations beyond Equestria and other histories and biographies. Despite his debility, upon meeting him one finds that he is truly a gentleman at heart. He is currently living in the Industrial era, and while he is not much of an inventor himself, he does find some of the modern inventions, such as the watch, useful in his work. He always wears his hat in public, in an attempt to hide his horn and his true nature.

I'm not certain if I like the gloves, but please let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy him!

EDIT: Almost forgot:
Hat ref

I am quitting.
This site has, sadly, gotten between me and my real life. I put aside things such as God, writing, and friends to be on here, and it has caused me too much pain and suffering.
This does not happen to all people, I would like to point out, and if you don't get addicted to things easily, this can be a fun website for you!
I thank you all for sharing your wonderful friendship and memories with me.

Thank you! :D Yes, Dracula is one of my favorite books! I wanted this guy to be more like his gentlemanly side than his monsterous side. I'm glad you like him. :D

(Your last stamp is so true )
