Introduction
I feel incredibly privileged and lucky to be in the second almost round, would you call it? I am so exited to see who wins. I would like to say thank you to Mihochi for letting me get through out of all the other amazing entry's and I sympathize for how hard it will be to choose a winner, I have had to do this many a time.
My First Entry
My first entry was of a mechanical theme. The background was a lab which was meant to be where he was made and he was standing on a piece of paper that was his instructions but actually said:This product was made by mainy and are copyright to her. The lines belong to Mihochi. Thank you for purchasing your Mechanical Vulpe.
It doesn't say much because the piece of paper was too small to fit loads on XD lol.
The idea of this came from an old WIP entry I found at the back of my gallery that was never finished (of course the comp had ended and it was still WIP) it was a mechanical wolf that looked quite good (if I say so myself). When I saw this comp, the first idea I had was 'Mechanical Vulpe', it would work perfectly, there was no technical pattern and the background could be... I had to pause to think.
My first idea was shop shelf but I fail at people and if you ever look through a shop shelf you can always see people with trolleys. My second idea was that I could add rust to him and put him in a garden, then I thought thats a bit tacky and who would leave an adorable Vulpe outside? Then I thought science lab, that would work and the sign would look like the mad professor had made it, so thats what I went with.
I was going to add laser beams to the eyes but they kept failing over and over so I avegay upway (I don't like saying it, put that in a pig latin translator)
My Second Entry
First I need to repeat what I said in the introduction, thank you for letting me do another entry for your competition and as I said on my last entry, its my dream to be an artist for your adoption centre. It was going to be a Hawaiian waitress but the flowers kept failing so it ended up being... I don't really know what it is. I spent ages on the eyes, using a technique one of the proper artists uses and taught me.
The background is a nature scene that was blurred and done with watercolour so that the plants at the front stood out the most. The floor is a mix of greens, greys and browns to make it look like dirt.
What Winning Would Mean to Me
Winning would mean an awful alot to me because it would prove I can actually do art (what you kind of already have by getting me into the top 6) and its been my dream to be an artist for your adoption centre.
