I had fun with this artwork. She is named Equid's Double C for the"C" shaped markings on her stifle and muzzle. (The C shapes were random, not planned, I only noticed them when I was trying to figure out a name.... incidentally kind of fits for Cloesia.) She is 1/2 Norwegian Fjord and 1/2 Georgian Grande which is a relatively new breed developed in Georgia, U.S.A. that has gained international attention recently.
Equid's Double C carries the genetic for the Fjord coloration dun (I chose bay dun) and has overly dominant striping and even the spottiness of her extreme grandparent, but she also has the paint from her draft parentage. She is painted with one of the most uncommon markings in the paint color pattern and that is the reverse blaze you see here where the blaze is actually colored instead of white. It's referred to as a badger face. Her mane and tail carry the Fjord bi-color and since she has the Saddlebred breeding in her, her mane and tail are worn full except at the bridle path making a gorgeous tri-color layered pattern. In the right body profile I accidentally showed a clipped bridle path.
What is a Georgian Grande you might ask. The registry is very specific. The breed is 1/2 Saddlebred and 1/2 of either Draft or Friesian. You can find more about them @ http://www.georgiangrande.com/
In my imaginary stable I bred my wonderful Fjord mare to a Georgia Grand stallion that was 1/2 Saddlebred and 1/2 Draft (I think perhaps Shire or Gypsy Vanner?) and the draft is where Equid's Double C got her wonderful markings and feathers... oooh the feathers all tri-colored and beautiful.
I hope you like her, I had so much fun creating her. By the way, the timer is way way way way off, by probably at least 20 hours or overnight, I had to keep oekaki running because of a glitch that kept happening where it wouldn't save. I left it on when I knew it would save so that I could make sure to save my creation. I lost over 4 hours of work to the glitch so I wanted to make sure it did not happen again.
I hope you like how I made the wording like a stall placard. You know, the ones hanging over a stall, usually at fairs and exhibitions.
