Gem Raiders LA Comp.


Welcome. Its a simple contest. All you have to do is either trace the line art given, or make a differant line art with the same consept.

Species Info

Gem Raiders have long bodies and ears. They grow gems from the tips of their tails, one large gem and several small geode like gems around it. They like to wear (but don't always wear) a thick cloth hood with a large trailing piece of cloth that they can drape over their fur-less body if they are cold. (In the summer they let it trail on the ground) They also like to wear gem necklaces as a symbol of status. The more necklaces and larger gems indicate higher status (though the necklaces themselves are always made of thin cord). For example, a duke might wear up to eight necklaces with gems as large as their paws, where as a commoner might only wear one necklace with a gem the size of their eye. (necklaces are given to every baby at birth, so everyone always wears at least one necklace, the only time one would not wear a necklace if if they were a social outcast in which case they probably committed a crime or someone int her family committed a crime. Social outcasts usually live alone.)

Their gems can glow in accordance to the color of the gem. Dark colors, radiate a dim light, apposed to bright colors, which radiate a sharp intelligent light.
