Could you explain how the genotypes in this species work?
Each color (isabella, blue, liver, etc.) seems to have its own locus, unless I read this wrong.
Are dilution genes not relevant in the genotype?

Dilutions are listed as base coats (and they are not completely accurate, but they make sense). For example, liver is LL. The dilution of liver for the breed is cream (ll). Again looking at black (BB) and blue (bb), grey (GG) and silver (gg) and so on.

Go if a dog (Bb) is bred to another dog (Bb), both of the parents are black, but they can have a blue pup.
