I'm holding a little competition.
Rules:
-PLEASE DO NOT use my lines -- I'm not an artist and that picture I drew is worthless
-There will only be one winner
-If you are NOT chosen as the winner, you may keep your design at the end
-There will be no end date; I'll stop the competition once I see a design that I prefer
-You may use other programs (Sai, Photoshop, etc) as well as the Oekaki.
**NOTE: I'm looking for a simple reference sheet of the following creature. I would prefer the background to be white or transparent.
I would also prefer it to be drawn in an exaggerated realism style. Example - notice how exaggerated his features are, yet how realistic the painting is.
Description:
This rat should be very dirty, disgusting, slimy, as flea-bitten as possible. These would be the kind of rats that spawn in trashy areas, and live as thieves. I would like it to have natural colors and features; however more exaggerated (torn ears, large teeth, grizzly claws, etc)
Based on my personal storyline, this particular group of rats live on an abandoned shipping dock near the ocean. They hide in the factory building and barrels and hoard their precious items in the location. They will hold ransoms and keep the innocent captive within the basement and other underground areas. Considering their disgusting and diseased nature, touching even one of them is nearly a death-sentence. Because of this knowledge, they tend to guard and fight alone.
