no, just like in Lady and the Tramp, and in real life, puppies can come out not showing any signs of the other parent ^^ but it would explain why he doesn't have a weapon of his own and why he looks more like a normal wolf than Okami and Shiranui.

Hmm, the guard/preist guy from the gale shrine says Ammy is a beautiful madien inside,, so that is a possibility.

And with the puppy debate; when we raised puppies I never remembered one looking exactly like either of the parents; so I assumed that they always had to have a physical trait from each parent.
