This is pretty much how I do a simple sketch. A really simple kind of placement scribble (the green lines) and then the sketch (black) over it. If it's a complicated picture I might do one layer of dark green over the green and under the black to help place details.

If I were going to color this I would do more line cleanup and such, but its a sketch so its supposed to look rough.

I have a similar way of sketching. But mine is more Basic pose skeleton in light blue, Rough details in darker blue, then black lines to refine if I don't do lineless. I like the wolf btw.

Yeah sometimes I do a more skeleton like base sketch but that usually more on paper than digital.

I'm actually about to post a possible new species...if ebough people take a liking to it, you'll see my sketch style ^^
I usually do less on paper unless I have a good eraser I hate pencil smudges that you can't erase >> and your welcome
