so many people believe Bettas will happily live in a 1-4 letre tank, but that’s not true!
Bettas are much better off in a 9.5 + letre fish tank not a tiny cube!
Bettas are quite intelligent fish, believe it or not they do get bored
Bettas deserve a good size tank, real or soft plants (hard plastic plants damage there fins), gravel or any substrate and at least hiding places.
Bettas can live for a long time, up to 5 years +
So they deserve to live out those years comfortably.
Just imagine if you were a Betta in a tiny tank with little to no substrate a sharp plastic plant, no where to hide and nothing to do for 4-5 years +
Imagine how boreing that would be

The whole point of this rant is to say:
Do your research before buying a Betta or any pet

I know of many people who couldn’t keep theirs for more than a week, but mine I got 6 years ago or more and he’s still alive! Guess I’ll have to check his plant though, it may have hard leaves.
