So I was flicking through my gallery the other day, curious to see how my digital art has developed over the past few years. Whilst I was doing I noticed something that made my heart sink a little bit:
I have never ever done a reference picture for Egrala!!! DX
My beloved birdsona, whom I had claimed to have loved and adored so much over the past few years, has never had a fixed design beyond her species! All previous art In have done of her are extremely varied in colour and overall design, as if they could have been completely different characters. I couldn't believe I had neglected my little one so much, but I knew I could rectify this. So after several hours of drawing and planning, here is my darling Egrala- fully designed and ready to soar through all of my future pieces!!!
At first I was going to leave her as a plain, realistically coloured golden eagle. However I felt I needed to make her design more... personal to me really. I have already done several drawings of her with golden eyes (as opposed to the more natural dark brown), which I decided to keep. I also added some dark 'goggle' markings around her eyes, mimicking the fact that I myself wear glasses and prefer wearing them over my contact lenses. The little collar marking was more of an after though- I'm a sucker for random little markings! <3
Anyway, I will include a link to her full profile once it's complete. For now, meet the latest fixed design for my beloved Egrala!!!
