I still can't think of a name for them...but I am working on developing a 6 legged equine species

So, what do you guys think?

I'm hoping one of the amazing equine artists of CS will have the time to make an official Oekaki line art of the species, so I can start adopting out...but we shall see So far one amazing artist has said she'd be okay with it, but doesn't have the time so...*shrug*. If I can't find someone wanting to do an Oekaki lineart, I'll probably draw one myself, but not on oekaki.

They look a lot like WME's, but still very good.

Mm, yes, Phase 1 looked a lot like a WME, besides the forelock and giraffe horns, so in Phase 2 of the development, I went ahead and added the third set of legs, partially based off of Sleipnir, who has 8 legs, and primarily based on my love for 6 legged things.

In all, they are based on a combination of horses and okapis, two animals that love and adore.

The six legs do look very cool but perhaps they need to be more in the middle of the body because on first look I didnt notice them. I don't want to sound mean with this, sorry if i do, I'm just trying to give advise but ignore me if I'm blabbering

Yeah, maybe I ought to make the spine longer and set the 2nd pair towards the back of the ribcage..? Might work better out that way, the legs wouldn't get all tangled when galloping XD

I'll try sketching out a Phase 3 XD

That would work, yeah. Or perhaps putting it between two small sets of ribs, it is a made up species so you could get away with that. I'd try doing a few sketches until you find one you like the look of.

Ublublub, heavilly used this reference to come up with this:


I made the tail smaller, removed the feathers, turned the feet into cloven hooves, and added a second, small set of ears...and viola!

I think that, if I can not find a better-than-me artist willing to make some lines on Oekaki to adopt them out, then I'm going to use another free reference and make some lines to make an adoption thread
