I am so horrible at drawing equines...I can't even begin. I'm attempting to develop a sort of African Equine creature, dwelling in the vast Sahara desert. They have very long limbs, 3 toes (each ending in a hoof), and have developed very large forelocks to protect their sensitive, near-blind eyes from the sun. They have horns resembling those of a giraffe, and long, rounded ears. They make up for their horrible eye sight with a fantastic sense of smell and amazing hearing. They have short backs, and a very flexible spine. They have a short, broad muzzle, and a small mouth.
Each Fall they migrate to the grass lands of Africa, were males will engage in ritual courting and fighting of one another, and the top males will be the ones to get to breed with the females. Each female will produce two foals at the beginning of Summer, and then will raise them for two years. At two years old, the foals will leave their mothers and go off on their own. They are considered adults as 6 years old.
I'll come up with more info later...if any horse-savy artists would like to art-trade or something to draw me a good set of reference lines for the species, that'd be awesome ;u;
