Just like the title says, outline of a possible species idea. Will edit in info later since I need to poof now.

-I don't have a name for them yet
-They are herbivorous
-The thing on the tip of its tail is a blade they use for self defense, cutting branches from trees to get to the leaves, as well as other things
-They are typically solitary or live in small groups of mates and children, though it is not uncommon for weakened (i.e. elderly) individuals to band together for a better chance at survival
-The average lifespan is 60 years, and the longest they live is 70
-They're backs are covered in hard scales that protect their neck and spine in fights
