Minecraft and Me

So, I was hacking away at a strip mine, then I found a cave with lava. And, of coarse, BIG mistake, I left my strip mine unlit. And a creeper blew me up leaving me on half a heart and in panic ran into the lava. I had, what, 7 diamonds? I am so pissed!
