The Blackberry dragon

Postby HannahBug » Tue Aug 21, 2012 6:48 am

This is my idea I came up with this morning. I'm thinking of making it an adoptiable, but first.... I must lecture you about my dragon!! X3

MODS PLEASE MOVE TO BEGINNER'S !!!!

Diet:
The dragon's diet consists mainly of small berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and (most importantly) blackberries. It uses it's small beak to crack the small berries seeds to get all the fibery goodness. On occasion the Blackberry dragon eats sticky sap from trees.

Colors:
The dragon is often a solid darker color, but just as offten may be a delightful pink and white molted color. The male dragon's plated are often boldly colored brighter than unicorn vomit to scare away intruders. In rarer cases the dragon can be seen wearing white or albino colors. The dragons eyes are colors of the blackberry, ranging from a bright red to a midnight black.

Size:
Blackberry dragon range in size depending on their age. The largest reported dragon was the size of a full grown squirrel. Average adult dragons are the size of an adult rat. Teenage dragons range from the size of your pinky finger to the size of a mouse adult. Hatchlings are only about an inch long.

Breeding:
To attract females the males must make a display. This is done by fanning out their wings and holding them high above their heads, displaying the bueatiful colors. They also puff out their chests and arch their necks in a swan-like position to show off their bright plates

Wings:
The dragons wing are brightly colored and often tell stories of great lands. Other times the prominent colors of a butterfly are preasent. The oldest Blackberry Dragons are said to have the tale of the creation inscribes in their wings. In older times they were hunted for their wings for children's books.
