I'm starting to do a series of art that spreads awareness for unloved and not commonly known animals mainly reptiles and fish. I will give info about the animal and how you can help it, suggestions for animals would be awesome.

THE COELACANTH

Once thought be extinct, in 1938 Marjorie Courtenay found one while looking for interesting fish that a fisherman caught and let her see his catch. The coelacanth is part of the subclass called Actinistia a prehistoric subclass of fish. The Coelacanth is called "the living fossil" because it is prehistoric. It lived around the same time as the dinosaurs and infact is pretty much is a dinosaur.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Overfishing is one of the main problems this creature is dying out, so if you fish please fish responsibly althogugh I doubt many of you live near the coelacanth. You may also try and help the Coelacanth Rescue Mission
