Identity crisis

Postby Equid Phantasm » Sun Jan 29, 2012 7:27 am

Heylow there Chicken Smoothie artists and people. I am NOT for sale at the moment, nor is anyone authorized to use this art for their own. However, I need a little help here. I am having an identity crisis because my artist (Equid Phantasm) has lost the private message that identified my owner. I think my name is Loki or Lokin. Please help me find my owner if you recognize this description.

Oh, and help with the paws is appreciated, I suck at paws. Keep in mind Jackals paws are smaller than dogs.

I am a jackal. I have a scar beneath my right eye and no eye on my left and of course blind side. As you can see, I have red markings or at least the concept drawing Equid was given was red. I have 3 piercings and 3 studs in my right ear. I have a pierced nose and tongue as well. I always wear a vial of blood as a necklace and some bloody feathers with preserved red berries usually hang off my skull helm by string or leather thong. I am wearing them as a necklace in this piece of art. The marking on my right leg did not have the dots in the concept drawing, but Equid thought they gave it a little more style. I rarely smile but my skull helm does have a smile on it as well as a peace symbol and 3 dots, one of which is white, the other 2 red and the helm also has fake fangs. The helm appears to have a swirl on the blind side similar to the leg swirl. (Helm of course not shown.) In the concept drawing Equid could not identify the tail but it may be perhaps chopped off. Equid likes it better this way but can easily modify it to suit my owner.

I hope someone out there recognizes this Jackal from role playing or the description. I read through all my PMs and could not find the owner. Sorry about that, respond when you can.

Oh, by the way, the timer is tremendously off, it only took around a hour and half. I was fixing dinner and trading the whole time. :D

Hi ! So, yea, i`m the owner of Lokin.
I love his art- it is the first ref i got for him without a skull.
It is fine that you gave him a tail and arm markings- he used to have a tail but his older brother bit it off.
I really, really really love it <3
Thanks so much, you wonderful creature.

You're welcome. I actually did several edits to it before I myself liked it. Its the first Jackal I have ever drawn so the feet were really awful til I got a little help from Tundra (my daughter). Next I edited the feathers... I didn't realize it at first but I had them upside down... I had the shaft of the feather pointing away from the collar and so I flipped them so the shaft is attached to the string at the collar. I made sure to include the preserved berries. The last edit I did was the vial... you should have seen my first attempt, it didn't look good at all. I finally got it to look a bit like a glass vial after some struggles. I used a bead tube full of red beads as reference.

Overall I liked doing this for you, it was a change from all the horses I have been doing lately.

The feet are really good, don't judge yourself too hard. At first i thought the Vial was a real photo. It's really beautiful, just like the feathers.
Thanks so much <3
