Well, I tried to sort of draw out the zombie species I had in mind and have been using in my zombie story (which is forever a secret). I drew the mane and tail and all the other obvious edits. The breed is literally latin for dead horse.
So Dole is my like favorite guy from all the zombie horses of his species, he's the most iritable and hungry and tends to be where he isn't supposed to be. Just a general trouble maker~ <3 I doubt I'll ever be willing to like give away this species or anything, or make adoptables if you are going to ask that. Only because they don't really all look that different other than maybe mane size and how deteriorated they get.
(you can skip this part bellow, it's just information)
The horse itself is toxic, and it's digestive fluids have become intoxinated with enzymes able to breakdown pretty much anything imaginable. Considering this, the digestive track eats itself inside ut, hence the holes in it's throat and it's stomach and sides and mouth. The toxins genreally evaporate on air, and the insides of the animal glows green, and the glow is dulled when stalking or looking for prey. The red color comes forth when it is devouring or chasing, coming with it's desire for food or generally if it's angry or irritated.
It's weakest spot is it's spine, as it has mutated into a sort of exoskeletan. In it's own way to protect itself, the plates have extended to grip to it's tough skin. It's mouth is full of hundreds of needle sharp teeth made for ripping and tearing and has a hooked jaw that can inhinge to take down larger prey with less time. It's hair is a stranger topic, for it has decayed into a quill-like collection that moves much like you'd imagine a porcepine. Although it is more of a defense than to attack, it is useful for chasing off larger predators. Each individual quill has a fluid that goes through it that has the infectus virus, the fluid runs up the hollow spines in lines, and generally the larger spines are more visible.
They are generally about 18 hands high, but are known to reach up to twenty if their food supply is plentiful. They are carnivores and generally only hunt at night where there dark coats cameflauge them. Their lifespan is undeniably daunting in size, and the only thing that has been able to kill them is other competitive mutated creatures looking for food.
