One day, in their peaceful den, Ashu's father heard howling. Wolves. Father yipped to the others to run, but it was too late. The wolves killed everyone already, including Ashu's mother. Ashu was terrified. his father told him to run so he could hold off the wolves. Ashu did what his father said and ran...he ran to what seemed like forever. He knew that his father would be dead, so he mourned for his father at his new den. As years went by, Ashu raised himself to be just as good as a leader as his father was.
