~The Midnight Murder Of Ghostly Sillouette~
Most famous race horses have large insurange policies, some are worth millions of dollars. It just so happend that Ghostly Sillouette had one of these polocies, and he was worth millions....Dead.
It was a dark, cold Halloween night. So cold it made your bones chill and your blood run cold. There was a man and a woman leading a beautiful white stallion into the woods. Why? Because the two were lovers, and they had a horrid plan....
The horse held his head high and took each step un-willingly, as if he knew something was afoot. His coat gleamed a glossy silver, in spite of the lack of light, and his breath puffed out his nostrils in spires of white mist.
The threesome walked deeper and deeper into the woods, hearts pounding with nervous anticipation.
Upon reaching a small clearing in the woods, the woman holding the horse's lead stopped and looked at the man.
"Sandra, did you bring it?" The man's confident words rung out clearly in the silent blanket of the night.
"Shh! Don't speak so loudly Jacob! If someone hears we'll be caught!" The woman replied uneasily as she fiddled nervously with the lead rope in her hands.
"Don't be silly! There's no-one out here to hear us! Besides, evryone is either at Hallowen parties or trick or treating anyway." He replied irritatedly to Sandra. "Did you bring it?" He repeated his question to her.
The woman nodded meekley and pulled a sharp knife out of her pocket with a pale, shaky hand.
Upon seeing the sharp metal, Ghostly Sillouette reared and let out a nervous niegh.
Surprised by the horse's sudden movement and noise, Sandra screamed slightly and let go of the rope, stumbling back a few steps.
"Blast it Sandra! Do you want to spend our honeymoon in Paris, or at the Motel Six?" Jacob scoffed as He quickly siezed the knife and the horse's lead, yanking him back down on all fours.
Sandra regained her balance and stood a few feet away from Jacob and Ghostly Sillouette.
"We don't have to do this....we could race him and win enough money....it would take a little longer, but we could do it Jacob. I know we could!" She replied in a wavering voice as tears began to gather in her eyes.
"Yeah? And what about vet bills, farrier bills, feed, training! I've raced this horse! I know what it takes to own one! We would barely have enough money after all the bills to enter another race! Let's just get this over with!" Jacob spoke angrily to his fiance.
"I won't watch. I can't! I just can't!" She could no longer hold back the tears, they streamed down her cheeks as she turned and ran to a large tree and sat behing it, sobbing into her hands.
