Shadow screamed at the top of her lungs. "NO!" She watched as the one she loved fell. Time seemed to stop as she lost the one she loved the most. Her heart felt like it had just been ripped out, leaving a black hole. She whispered. "I love you, Dakota." Tears soaked her face and she choked on his name. "I will always love you." She had never gotten to be his mate or tell him she loved him and now it was too late. She was alone in this world again. The wind ruffled her fur and she thought she heard him. "Shadows always dance in my heart." Maybe she was not as alone as she thought she was.
