Okay. *SPOILERS* Heart snarled. She stepped harder on Shadowm's paw. Making the gray wolf let go of the edge with one paw. Suddenly, two flashes of ginger whammed into her, knocking her over. She raised a paw, with reinforced claws. She opened her eyes. 'JUST A DREAM..' She thought. The cream and brown she-wolf raised her head. Red and raccoon were curled up, tightly. Shadowm was stretched out, circling them. She scented the air. Another parent less day. Her half brother, Charcoal, had taken t*hem far away. It had been two months since she had last seen them. She went back to sleep. She woke up later by a yowl. Red was staring at a dead black wolf. He was unrecognizable from the blood. She padded closer and gasped in anguish. Smoke! Her father was dead. She looked a little ways and saw that a ginger she-wolf was fighting a white wolf. She squinted and identified them as Charcoal, the white one, and the ginger was Apple, her mother. Apple collapsed. "No!" Heart yowled. She ran forward, running to the body. She looked at Charcoal. Her cream body was hidden in a patch of light. He whispered:" Shadowm's next. The she-wolves will live, so long as they obey me."




Shadowm woke up. A crunching noise next to the den. He raised his head and saw Charcoal. The white wolf was covered in blood. He opened his mouth to give a killing bite before a cream flash bowled him over. Shadowm hit Charcoal. The white wolf slid out of the den, when he was attacked by Red. The crafty ginger wolf leaped on his back. She bit his neck, making him fall. She raked his back and jumped off of the limp body. Shadowm raised his head. He stared at Charcoal. Suddenly, the wolf leaped to his paws and jumped on him. He reared up, pushing him off. Charcoal fell off. Shadowm turned to face him. He shoved his littermates behind him. Charcoal leaped at him. He lurched forward. His claws plunged into his throat. Charcoal's body went rigid. His amber eyes widened as he fell. Shadowm fell too. He was weak from loss of blood from Shadow's teeth over his spine. He lifted his head. Heart's eyes were red. She pushed Shadowm to his paws, angrily.



Red crept through the woods. Raccoon on her heels. She slipped after Heart and Shadowm. She noticed that Heart did not seem to be present..
