Pup Name:
Percy
Pup Number:
#2 <3
Pup Gender:
Male
Pup's Personality:
Well, to sum it up, he's never been shy about getting his paws dirty, and trying new things. He can be a bit standoffish, because he's not the most social creature in the world, but couldn't stand it if he wasn't able to talk to or see anyone for a week. His jealousy of his siblings' wings burns deep inside of him, the way they tease him for not inheriting them. He's always been very close to his mother, Cynder. He can be hyper-active and attention-hogging at times, but other times he'll want to be left alone and not talked to.
Pup's Story:
I'd never been very special to them, my parents, compared to my siblings. They got everything. And what did they leave for me? Their big brother? Nothing. Nothing at all. Sometimes I just feel like crying. Sometimes I feel like running away, and never looking back. Maybe then they would care. Maybe then they would open their eyes and see I exist.

When I woke up that cold fall morning, everyone was already gone. You see, my Dad had promised us that he would teach us fishing today, and mum said she had to go hunting today, so we had enough food for the winter. I had to close my eyes to hold the tears back. Why did they just leave me here? Alone? I padded softly out of the den, rustling the fall leaves on the ground. We were late pups, about a season or two. I looked up to the sky, but the beautiful red and orange leaves were blocking it. I wondered what time it was, and if I should go and look for my family. . . No, if they even notice I'm gone, they'd come for me, just like they should. Unless the left me here on purpose, not wanting me. . . A single tear ran down my cheek and fell onto my paw, and I lifted it up. Blue paws, just like my younger brother and Mum. I trotted off to the river, which was about a minute's walk from the den. When I got there, I looked at my reflection in the water. Blue, just like my paws. I saw some small fish, and pawed at it slightly, but it of course it swam away. I wonder... I thought, If I can swim like a fish too? That was probably one of the biggest mistakes of my life. As I jumped into the shallow water joyously, I started wade out, deeper and deeper, until I couldn't touch. I paddled around happily for a few moments, then I noticed a big bird circling around me. It looked a bit like an eagle, or a hawk. I didn't care at first, but then as I got further out, it started looking at me, and swooping closer. That's when I got nervous. I swam back to the shore as fast as I could, then I ran. Ran to the den, ran to safety. Oh, gosh I should never of gone swimming!! I yelled at myself in my head. I was almost there, but I ran into a clearing by accident. The bird swooped down at the last second. I screamed and opened my eyes, there was a burning pain in my shoulder, and I was flying through the air.
"Cruddy bird, set me down right now!!"I yelled at the eagle.
It looked at me with it's cold yellow eyes and screeched. It was the worst, most amazing sound I've ever heard. As we flew down the river, the eagle's talons dug into my shoulders even more. I looked down, on the river bank, and saw my family trying to fish.
"Help me!"I screamed.
It was my white sister who saw me first, then she yanked on dad's leg to get his attention. I couldn't hear what they were saying, us being about 60 feet up in the air. I saw Dad tilt his head back and I heard a howl. I wondered what he was howling about, and if I would ever make it down to see them, even one last time. All I heard was flapping, but not all of it was from the eagle. I painfully turned my head around and saw my Mom.
"Mom!" I shrieked with happiness.
"Percy, hold still!" She yelled,
and lunged at the bird. The eagle swooped and dodged, and Mom grabbed one of it's huge wings with her jaws. As she crunched down, she bird screamed and plummeted to the river below. It let go of me as it fell, and I was falling through midair. I screamed again, as I plunged into the water, I saw my mom's panicked look. She tucked her wings and dived, grabbing the scruff of my neck, and pushed off the bottom with her strong legs. We broke the water just moments later and mom scrambled to get on land. Dad and my brother and sisters were running to us. Mom set me down and coughed up water. My shoulders were bleeding from where the eagle was clenching me so tightly, and I collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily.
"Percy, dear, are you alright? Mom asked, still coughing water.
"Well I'm fine if being left all alone and getting kidnapped by a ginormouse eagle and almost drowning is fine." I said sarcasticly.
Mom started crying.
"I'm so sorry, Percy. . ." She said quietly.
We all started walking back to the den slowly. My sisters came up and said,
"Maybe if you had these you wouldn't of gotten taken by the bird!" They said, shaking their wings in my face and laughing.
I said nothing.
#1, I really didn't care,
#2, If I'd said something it would of probably been pretty nasty,
#3, I really didn't feel like talking now.

We padded back to the den and I just sat there. Alone. When anyone tried to say something, even if it was nice, I'd turn my back to them. I cried myself to sleep that night, but woke up sooner than I thought, wondering if they even cared. But if they didn't care, why did they save me? Why didn't they just let me die there? I thought about the subject with a heavy heart. I finally decided that they did care. I padded over to my mom and siblings, and snuggled into her warm white tummy fur. My mom woke up slightly and said,
"I love you, Percy."
I smiled and fell asleep aginst her soft, cuddly fur.
The End~ I'll write a whole story about him if I get him, if not I'll ask the owner if I can. I hope it wasn't too short~!
