Pup's History: Nera was well loved by her family if not a little favored for her blindness. She grew into a lovely young adult and is always curious about the world she lives in. She knows the clock is ticking and she probably won't be around as long as her brothers, but she sticks to the bright side.
Short Story About the Pup:
Letting the wind brush through her fur Nera lay outside listening to all the sounds of nature. It was a pleasant day and the cool breeze carried interesting scents of creatures that she would never see. A smile was set on her muzzle as she listened to the trees. *Plop!* Startled, Nera stood and licked the droplet of water from her nose. *What was this?* Another drop fell and another and soon a light drizzle was going on. Nera was young and confused by the water falling on her. She ran back to her mother and siblings, looking with unseeing eyes up to the sky where a rainbow had formed.

(I'm asuming that the low levels of testosterone would affect her lifespan? Thats why I mentioned her brothers might outlive her.)

Pup's History: Midori was always loved in her family, although it didn't always show. Sometimes her brothers would leave her out of their games, and be left behind on outings because of her blindness. Her father always showed compassion for her, and she probably gets on with him the best. She understands that she may not live as long as her brothers, and tries to stay happy, although sometimes truth gets in the way and she can get upset about it. Midori had a very sensitive nose and is a good tracker. She will grow to be a lively and energetic wolf, trying to live her life to the fullist while she still can.
Short Story About the Pup: Midori was sitting outside her families den in a clearing, eating the new kind of prey their mother had hunted for them. "What is this, Mother?" she asked. "Rabbit" she replied. Midori let the flavours run through her mouth. It tasted good. As she swallowed, a bit of rabbit fur landed on her nose. She sneezed, the fur fluttering to the ground. Her mother laughed. "You get used to it. One day you'll learn how to hunt, too." "One day soon?" she inquired. "I hope." Midori could sense her mothers sadness. "You know I'll still live a long time, right? Like Father?" "Yes sweetie. I know you will. Finish your prey now." Her mother licked her head gently and settled down again. Midori bent to take another bite of rabbit. As she chewed, she thought over the conversation she just had. She would live a long time. She knew it.Yes, life was good. All was well
