Marking Surprises
Visual guide to Marking Surprises. Rarely, you may have a surprise edit to a marking, which can change how it appears. I will be editing the generators here to make sure the surprises fit the realism of the generator
Top row shows the surprises done on mackerel tabby, the bottom row shows it on paint
Rainbow - turns the marking rainbow, it can be neon, pastel, or anything in-between, and can be a gradient or colorblocked (top shown is gradient pastel, bottom shown is colorblocked neon)
Iridescent - similar to chromatic, gives the marking a colorful shine, can be a variety of colors, but suggested colorings would be - Bird (dark green, blue and purple(top example)), Pastel (light pink, yellow and blue(bottom example)), Dark (bright pink, green and blue), and Aurora (turquoise, green and purple)
Chromatic - similar to iridescent, gives the marking lighter and darker shines. This surprise may override the colors, turning the marking a metal color regardless of the base color (Note: this effect is best achieved using the dodge and burn brushes!) (Top shown in silver, bottom shown is gold)
Glowing - gives the marking and soft glow, can be any color (Note: this effect is best achieved by making an extra layer of the marking and using the box blur tool)
Translucent - turns the marking less opaque, can be slightly transparent or very transparent (examples are shown with mackerel and paint underneath to show effect)
Fading - causes the marking to fade away, can happen anywhere at any strength
