Haemal was the eldest son of the white family, his younger brother very much supported him becoming the family head to which Haemal accepted his aid. Haemal himself was actually quite indifferent to the idea of being the family head, he didn't mind if he did, he didn't mind if he didn't. This is likely due to his innate indifferent personality, he didn't care about anything, he just went along living life with no emotions to speak of.
