I understand where you are coming from and thank you for the help, but I feel like I will not be changing anything having to do with the tail, mane, gender, eye color, coat color, or marking types. I am currently only searching for advice on the design of the snip and the way I created the the spots. Again thank you for your opinion!

What a pretty horse! I can give you some tips!

The black on this horse is very very dark; you might try using a lighter shade (see this horse as an example of what I mean)

For the spots, real horse spots tend to have a faded area of color around the rim of the white, which is where the colored hair overlap the white, which dilutes the color. (See this horse for an example of this)

Specifically for the appaloosa, try feathering the edges, as it doesn't tend to have a straight, even edge like that. You can search Google for appaloosa horses to see examples, but I can give you one example here.

I hope this helps, and you can feel free to ask me anything!

Sorry in advance of the seemingly quick and not-so-thankful put together thank you. I ran out of brain cells and words at the time of writing this.

Thank you for the advice! Next time I attempt a realistic horse I will make sure to come back to your feedback!
