Cat Designs

Postby Clementine Cloud » Sat Oct 24, 2020 12:14 pm

I wanted to get back into character designs so I decided to do some based off of randomized palettes. It took me a bit to get the hang of it again, but i'm pretty happy with how these have turned out! The top left one is just my main kitty Flower though, since I hadn't drawn her in a long time.

You did an amazing job on these <3 I especially love the bottom row.
Left one has this cheetah/leopard look and is still unique in her pattern.
The middle one has a palette that straight away caught my eye. Also the combination of the main pattern and those red spots looks perfect on it. I adore how you are able to include these red spots in a green design without it looking out of place. I tried somithing like this for about a thousand times and it never worked out for me...
And the right one has this super stunning pattern. I also love how the base is patched and the pattern lies above it as if it has to keep all thes colour patches inside. Does this make any sens now?
Ah anyways, you did a great job on these. Let me know if you consider putting them up for sale <3

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for the beautiful response! It really means a lot to me, especially since I'm just getting back into this haha! The green and red one was definitely the most challenging and took a lot of trial and error to get to something that looked nice, but in the end I'm happy with how it turned out and I'm so glad to see you agree,
I wanted to see if there was interest before trying to sell the designs, and I'm not really sure what price to set for them, so if you'd like you could send me an offer for any that you'd like (Though I might keep the bottom left one for myself haha!)

And, for all of these I used a random color palette generator until I was inspired, and then tweaked it as I needed, I think it really helps get inspiration flowing and keeps me from doing the same thing over and over
