When Birch was a novice learning about the life as a member of a wolf Pack, he thought it was the best feeling in the world. The pup of Fang, the alpha male, Streak, thought the same thing. She had always loved everything about him - His playful nature, his quickness to protect the pack, his willingness to sacrifice himself.
All that changed when the strange Multi-color pelts came into their territory, with a pack of their own - A dog pack! And not only just a dog pack, a dog pack that pulled the strange animals around and allow themselves the strange animals' creatures! They live on soft slob and animals that the multi-color pelts caught! What a disgrace.
One silent night, the alpha male, now Birch, led up an attack on the dog pack when they had refused to leave. That was when everything changed.
Streak didn't notice at first. Sure, Birch always came back from hunting last, and became more secretive, but he had been loyal the time she had known him as his mate. Then, when she went hunting herself one fine, chilly day, she discovered Birch with one of the dogs!
Birch said that her name was Rayna. The way that he swoon over her is absolutely disgusting. "Shining blue fur, fantastically light blue eyes, a muscular body..." Streak warned him; she did; multiple times actually, but he never listened. He was changed.
Streak didn't waste a moment punishing the traitor. Exile was the only way to do this. He was arrogant. He called this on himself, and he would probably one day have pups with a dog that was owned by another creature.
However, strange as it was, Birch was not only surviving on his own, but happy. Apparently, he joined the dog pack, renaming himself 'Brandy' or something. And when she saw Brandy and Rayna together; Rayna nursing four puppies that bear Birch's gray markings and pale blue eyes, and Birch's hideous dog collar, she lost it. She unleashed the monster within her on him; the wolf she once considered to be her best friend, advisor, mate.
