A former family dog, Heidi is much more amiable and social than most of her kind. Despite her large, intimidating build, she has learned how to put others at ease quickly, and generally has a very laid-back and welcoming aura about her. Though a gentle giant at heart, Heidi is anything but a pushover, and is quick to put others in their place when need be. When faced with a bully or an insubordinate dog within the pack, however, it can be difficult for Heidi to remember her own place, and often times she has to remind herself to let the alpha and beta take care of the bigger matters.

Compassionate, stern, and honest, Heidi quickly becomes the 'mon friend' in any group, and finds herself quite happy with the role. Despite never having pups of her own, she will happily act as a mother to any orphaned pups that find their way to the pack. Even to those she hasn't adopted, she watches over them with all the love and passion of a mother; they are her pack, after all.

Strangely enough, Heidi adapted well into pack life, though she does miss her human family from time to time. Truthfully, she is the perfect pack-dog; remarkably loyal to and protective of her pack, and more than happy to play her part.

Despite all this, she does have the lethargic nature of most Caucasian Shepherds, and it isn't uncommon to find her lounging in camp when off duty. She can be quite stubborn when she wants to be, and it's next to impossible to make this old dog move when she doesn't want to.
