The bullshark felt weak from John's teeth. He finally fled, leaving Jerome bloodied. John was frantic to bring Jerome to the shore. Grabbing his tail, John carried the leader to the surface, and dragged him on land. Violent's wide eyes got full of tears. Herbie and Butterball looked in horror, Kai hiding her face and crying. Blood soon stained the sand. Slowly, Jerome opened his mouth to speak. Blood leaked out, and a sturdy fang washed out. A deep groan came from Jerome's throat. "I will never die...." he managed to say. With that, the great Shepherd fainted.
