Slowly, they pulled the scaley tissue away from his body, the blood trailing through his downy soft, sienna fur. His howls echoed across the valley as they stuffed his precious wings into a large sack as dragged away with them. They left him for dead. That's when i found him. At first he growled at me weakly ,as he had learned the hard way never to trust humans, but then -through lack of energy- he gave in and let me aproach...
Today he runs by my side, forgetting his past and focused and repaying me for saving his life. At first, as soon as he was strong, I drove him out to the woods where I found him but he whimpered and dug his claws in the cage. I scooped him up and left him in the shelter of a long drooping willow.
Later that night I awoke to find him scratching at my door. He had made his own way back from the forest; about five miles! It was only then i saw the love in his shining eyes and released that he would not be seperated from me. I held him in his moment of weakness and now it is his turn to care for me...
