i'm gonna enter for this guy too if that's okay

    prized possessions//
how could a king, so strong and loved among
present himself to court and country a fool?
why it may be the downfall of a great heart
if the fates do allow it to be -- a kingdom lost
over such a worthless trinket; a small raven's feather.

aye, it is heard that the king is weak for such a thing
and yet, why to criticize? he is but a youthful thing,
and you ought know how youth clings to posessions
like a babe to a fist -- and yet, is it truly so valuable?
as small and simple as it is to us, i think it may well be.

wars have been fought over less things. alas, he is king
and he has done us no wrong. why bemoan a trivial article
of which has no effect on our lives? midas can keep him
as i keep myself; well and away from confront or hate.
i wish no ill upon the youth, and a raven's feather harms none.
