Patch walked through the crowd, as though the patrol had just encountered a fight, and Patch lost half of her ear, and her leg has almost gone limp. As soon as the almost grown pup walked into the camp, howls of amusement and judgement rose upon the camp.
"Who'd you bring in, beta? Another city rat?" a large dog howled at the beta, who was trying to protect Patch. Patch had never felt this way, jaws were flashing in her mind, her mother dog had once told her never to judge a good dog, but she had just now realized why she had told her that.

That night, Patch tried to drift into sleep, but finally the soothing sounds of the River-Dog lead her into a deep sleep.
Patch was standing in camp again, and it seemed like nobody had noticed her. The leaf packs crazed alpha ran into their camp, with more dogs following as he had screeched "ATTACK!" Her practical mother-dog, since patches mother-dog died before she got her true pack name, Flame was under attack by three large dogs. "FLAME!" Patch yelled in terror, but she couldn't move. It was like her paws were glued to the ground.
