currently has: wolf, lion and an awful attempt at a horse. (i cant draw horses)
Il probably use these sketches for art at a later date?

now, im no amazing master at realistic art, being just a semi-quick learning student (though im focusing on my design more right now) and a hobbyist, i do have some tips to share.

When im trying to draw realistic animals, i look at a lot of anatomy stuff, such as skeletons and muscle. I find it makes it easier to get preportions right that way. It also helps to look at gifs/videos of the animal moving, so you know how it moves. This is very helpful for drawing things like running wolves.

I always sketch my drawing out before doing lines. I often use my tablet, but i still draw with my mouse from time to time and im rather used to it by now, i hold my mouse weirdly and people often ask why, and its because i found holding it normally decreases the quality and overall makes it harder to draw with a mouse. However i find it impossible to draw realistic with a mouse.

As for smooth lines, sketching first (even sketching multiple times untill you're happy) and then lining is the best way to go. I find doing nice lines with a mouse isn't possible (although there are some amazing mouse artists out there, i have no clue how they do it). I use my tablet and use the pen tool. theres a smoothing option i recommend trying out and testing that.

hopefully this was at least a tiny bit helpful?
