went quite a bit more in-depth with this one, as i'm on my laptop now and can do some more research on names ^^"
Pup Name- Ambrich Ginterra Mingyula (Pronounced ; Am-brick Jin-terra Ming-you-lah :: Nicknames ; Amber, Bri, Am, Gin, Terra, Ming); The dappled green and orange on the belly and horns reminded me of jade/emerald and amber/imperial topaz, while the horns for some reason made me think of some kind of animal spirit god/goddess, so that's sort of where the name inspiration came from. Each name is a combination of two other names/words, partly because there were so many good ones it was hard to choose, and partly because I've been trying to avoid "common"/"normal" names recently.
- Amrbich Is a combination of the Italian "Ambra", meaning "Amber", and the Vietnamese name "Bich", meaning "Jade". Picked mainly due to the colors and patterns on her horns and underside.
Ginterra is a combination of "Terra" after Terra from Roman mythology, the goddess personifying the Earth and who's equivalent to the Greek goddess Gaea, and "Gintare", the feminine from of the Lithuanian "Gintaras", which means "Amber". Chosen mainly due to the sort of "goddess" vibe I got from her, and Terra just seemed too sort of mainstream.
Mingyula is a combination of the Chinese name "Mingyu (明宇)", meaning "Bright jade", and the Celtic name "Ula", meaning "gem/jewel of the sea", which were once again chosen due to the colors and patterns on her stomach.
