Backstory:
Currently, not much is known about Sebastian's past, but is known is this -
[Read as if he were a human]
Sebastian was born into a fairly wealthy family. He was the youngest of four siblings, and upon discovering his disability, his parents were dismayed, disappointed, and outraged. His parents weren't the best people, so instead of choosing to pay for surgery to fix his blindness, they instead chose to hire someone to make him "disappear" when he was six. All he knew was that one day, he was sitting outside with his back against one of the trees surrounding their house (for they had lived in an area of the forest where the trees were fairly widely spaced), listening to the birds singing and his siblings playing in the distance when the next thing he knew, there was a cloth pressed up against his nose and mouth and a strange, sickly sweet scent, and that was the last thing he remembered before he lost consciousness. When Sebastian awoke, he could tell he was still in a forest due to the sounds and the feel of the ground, but it smelled strange, different. "Hello? Is anyone here?", he called out. When he heard no reply, that was when it hit him that he was nowhere near home. He got up, and suddenly uncertain, and paused. He didn't know where he was or where he would go. What he did know was that he likely wouldn't have long before something bad happened to him. Suddenly scared, he sat back down and leaned against a tree, trying to consider all his options. He knew that his lack of experience in the forest and his disability would put him at a disadvantage, but he didn't know what he could really do about it. He stayed by the tree for several hours, and eventually fell asleep. When he awoke again, he could feel hunger gnawing at his stomach. He stayed where he was for a bit longer, before his hunger eventually drove him to get up. Deciding that things couldn't possibly get worse than they already were, he began slowly making his way along what he could only guess was a path due to the lack of foliage along it. After a few hours of cautious progress, during which he had been scared out of his wits several times by strange and unfriendly sounds coming from the forest, when he again heard something in the forest to his right, and he heard a female's voice call out a greeting. He stopped, scared, not knowing who she was but nonetheless hoping she'd be able to help him somehow. She mentioned she had never met anyone else out in the forest (which she apparently visited frequently) before, and asked what someone as young as him was doing out somewhere as dangerous as this. At first he was a bit nervous and didn't want to reveal too much of his situation, but after a few seconds, decided it couldn't hurt, and explained what had happened. The girl made some comment about how rude it was for his parents to do something like that. She offered to take him back to some people she knew would be more than willing to help him. Sebastian paused for a moment, uncertain, before accepting her offer. After a moment of silence, he felt her gently take his hand as she began to lead him along a different trail. They continued in silence for half an hour or so, the silence only broken by the girl's occasional quiet comments about some detail in the forest. Sebastian guessed they were nearing the edge of the forest by the warmth of the sun through larger and larger gaps in the canopy of leaves and by the increasing volume of the sound of the occasional car on a street somewhere. When they reached the edge of the trees, she released his hand and asked if he would be able to follow her by sound the rest of the way. Sebastian was pretty sure he could do that, and said yes. She was about to continue on, when she suddenly exclaimed, "Oh! How did I forget?" The girl turned back to him and explained, " I can't believe I forgot to tell you my name. I'm Hela, it's been nice to meet you." Momentarily taken aback by her sudden outburst, Sebastian stuttered a reply. "Hi Hela, my name's Sebastian, and it's been nice to meet you too."

and now I just sit in silence."

Personality:
Sebastian is very well mannered and is quiet most of the time. He's never been much for talking, instead preferring to keep his opinions to himself and consider what others said, refining his opinions and ideas where necessary. He is startlingly intelligent, and is great at memorizing things and identifying sounds and smells. Sebastian is very flexible and willing to try new things, and not many things make him uncomfortable. Not many things actually scare him, but it is very easy to startle him. He's not shy by any means, but sometimes he'll get nervous if you startle him, which typically leads to him stuttering and getting embarrassed. He believes there is some good in everyone, and also that everyone can change and should get a second chance. Sebastian is highly inquisitive and is very intrigued by stories, whether from a book or video game, and his biggest regret is that he can't read or play them himself. There are times he finds it hard to ask for help, but he knows that he has to. He's made an effort to learn math, even if he can't see the numbers and symbols, and has also shown an interest in learning other languages. He's often heard people talk about the night sky and the stars and moon, and has many times wished he could see them for himself. His fascination with stories has lead him to become a fantastic storyteller. He's great at improvisation and is very resourceful. He enjoys telling his own short stories, and is more than happy to answer any questions anyone has about them. Sebastian's greatest ambition is to become an author, poet, and/or songwriter when he grows up. His greatest wish is to gain his eyesight and to travel the world and see for himself all these wonderful things he's heard people speak of, but has never been able to see for himself.
