"Just run take the pup and run dont stop!" was the last she heard from any wolf during the fire the pup was covered in ashes and smoke she jumped over burning logs and dodged falling things to escape, the fire burned her pelt giving it an eerie glow but she ran faster and escaped the fire, a den was found a few feet above the ground so the fire, would be below them only the smoke would bother them, she looked behind her the dry grass was burning quickly, she tossed the pup up into the cave it gave a small yelp "im okay and farther in quickly get in the cave!" the pups rasp voice sounded from above, she scrambled her way into the cave just as she felt heat on her tail tip she pushed the pup as far back as she could and layed down, her back to the entrance of the cave, she closed her eyes as the pup curled up next to her "thank you, savior" the pup said before drifting into a sleep, maybe it was a forever sleep maybe it was short........
