    I didn't know if you went for a wolf or a dog but I hope this is okay^^

    Body: The pose was quite unbalanced and therefore the character would fall. It's body should be a bit longer as well.
    Muzzle: A tiny bit longer and also a rounder nose.
    Round ears: Wolves or point-eared dogs have rounder ear tips, not pointy.
    Legs: The back legs can't go that far behind.

    Since I went for more of a wolf, I made the tail fluffier. Tails are also a bit round at the tip but can look pointy because of hair ends (x)

    Try to do draw guidelines (see headshots) while you are still learning. In this way you can check proportions and where everything goes before you move to the sketch/ lineart. Sometimes a soft brush can be really helpful with sketches. Experiment and see what works for you!

    If you are going for realistic draw smaller eyes and try to add more detail. Also don't forget the whiskers!

    The best way to learn is through observation. Observe the things around you and try to imagine how they work and how it will look on paper. Observing from real life is much better than looking at photographs because in that way you see objects 3D. Of course you can learn by looking at photos but it's easier to understand the "mechanisms".
    Once you understand how things work in a 3D environment referencing photos will be really simple. Of course, not everyone has the luxury to observe wolves up and close but dogs work as well c;

    Photos are for reference. Real life is for studying and understanding. So when you are drawing try to use as many references as possible!
