As you enter the pet shelter, the scent of fur nearly overwhelms you. There are no customers here except for you. A chill runs down your neck as you look around. Many of the animals look mangled and scarred, or some of them have replaced limbs or no limbs at all. Some of them even have strange mutations, but all of them have sad looks on their faces. A couple of them open their eyes to stare at you warily. You wander around until four cages catch your eye. You walk closer until you're standing in front of the cages. You can see four foxes, curled up inside in a similar position. Would you like to adopt one? (They're for free, I was just trying out some line edits and testing color schemes and such. I'll choose who do they go to on the 6th of November, so this isn't a first come first serve! I stole the second one, so only 1 and 2 is up for adoption. Please only one form for one fox per person!)


The first cage has a sign reading - ADOPTED. It holds a little, dark gray fox. It opens one of its pine green eyes and gazes at you, its expression unreadable. Its tail is dark red and is extra fluffy, nearly the same size as its body. Looking closer, you realize this 'tail' actually has two closed eyes and a flicking tongue between its jaws - it's actually a snake that seems to be made of fluff and fur. Perhaps you would like to adopt it?

The second cage has a sign reading - ADOPTED. Apparently this fox isn't for adoption. Its sandy colored fur rustles as it shifts around to look at you. With a jolt, you realize its eyes are blank, ghostly white and a trail of some kind of smoke flows from its 'sightless' orbs. Bandages are wrapped around its left ear and tail, giving a 'mummy' sort of look to it.

The third cage has a sign reading - ADOPTED. It has a brown fox which looks a little like a deer. Contrasting its chocolate fur, however, is its silver tail - no, it wasn't a tail at all! In fact, it was made of metal - some kind of replacement for its original tail.

The fourth cage has a sign reading - ADOPTED. Apparently this fox isn't for adoption. It holds a light grey fox that seems to be weak and tinier than the rest. However, white smoke trails from its paws - it might have some kind of power to it. A dark mist clouds its features - you can faintly see its ears are torn and the mist seems to be coming from it. You manage to make out two darker grey, teardrop shaped markings on its eyes. The mist seems to be changing its features and creating illusions of... people that you once loved but do not walk the Earth anymore.
