As an earth pony, Deep Treasure was always a bit of a push over. She had no real friends, and just wanted to be wanted. She would visit the ocean everyday to see what odd things she could find. One fateful day, she found an amulet, and when she put it on, she became a merpony. As she ventured into the sea, she found there were more merponies, a small tribe. She found her place among them, and they roam the ocean waters, hoping to scale every last inch Equestria's waters have to offer. Finding every little item hidden in the sand.
