My biggest word of advice- references! Study pictures of dogs, videos of dogs, just watch live dogs. Sketch over photographs (but never publish them! Just use this as a tool to figure out how canines "work",) and, of course, practice as much as possible! Try sketching while watching a live dog, etc, and don't forget to have fun
